Kapanlagi.com - Rizky Billar highlights Liverpool's activity in this year's summer transfer market. The host of Dangdut Academy 8 (D'Academy 8) admitted that he has not seen any significant moves from his favorite club, especially regarding new player signings.
"In my opinion, the performance of their sporting director (Richard Hughes) is still questionable, as there has not been any noticeable movement," said Rizky Billar when met at Polda Metro Jaya, Friday (31/7/2026).
He added that so far, no names have emerged that are believed to immediately fill the main squad for the new season. Billar mentioned that the team still needs additional firepower to be competitive.
Billar assesses Liverpool's movement in the transfer window as not meeting expectations. He mentions that the completed transactions are relatively minimal, while the team's needs, in his opinion, are still quite significant to compete.
"Practically only Munoz has been transferred and some players indeed had their deals finalized in the previous winter," he added.
He also revealed news about the approach towards young winger Bradley Barcola. According to Billar, the issue is still merely an approach and the circulating value needs further consideration.
"This means there are no new players that we see will become part of the Liverpool squad. But if I'm not mistaken, there was an approach towards Barcola (Bradley Barcola) yesterday. Which, in my opinion, the price is a bit too much for Barcola," he said.
On the other hand, Billar has prepared an agenda to watch the Liverpool match live in England. He mentioned that the plan is targeted to take place next year, but is still waiting for the team's performance under the current coach.
"God willing, God willing for sure. I have scheduled it for next year. Let's see first, if Liverpool plays lazily, creates a bad mood, it doesn't seem like a good choice if I have to go," he said.
Billar emphasized that he does not want a long trip to end in disappointment if the team's performance does not meet expectations. He mentioned that the aspect of the game will determine whether he goes or not.
"Rather than spending money and seeing the players perform poorly under Arne Slot, it doesn't seem like it. But hopefully this year if they play well, and everyone performs, we will definitely go," concluded Rizky Billar.
