Kapanlagi.com - Nana Bulungan, a contestant from Bulungan, North Kalimantan, had to end her journey on the Dangdut Academy 8 stage. The dance studio teacher was eliminated during the Top 37 Group 2 Concert held on Monday, July 27, 2026.
This result placed Nana as the second contestant to be eliminated in the top 37 phase. Previously, Revalina from Palangka Raya was eliminated first from Group 1. From the beginning, Nana was known for her captivating dance skills, making her performances highly anticipated in each round.
Nana Bulungan's journey in DA8 began with the auditions and continued through to the main rounds. She recorded several important moments, including earning a Golden Ticket and receiving attention from the judges in the early stages of the competition.
In the Group 2 Top 37 Concert, Nana was in the bottom two along with Kira from Bandung. This position was the result of accumulated support and the judges' assessment on the determination night.
In her solo performance, Nana received several notes from the judges. The feedback particularly related to the placement of improvisation and tempo control while performing the song on stage.
Nana admitted that she felt nervous and underprepared when performing in this round. At the end of the assessment, she had to end her journey in DA8 at the top 37 phase.
Before entering the main round, Nana was known for her dancing talent. During the audition, her skills caught the judges' attention to the point that they asked her to teach them to dance in front of the camera.
The DA8 audition round premiered on June 22, 2026. Nana performed in Audition Group 2 which aired on June 23, 2026, with two songs, namely Egois popularized by Lesti Kejora and Cinta Berpayungkan Bulan by Ayu Soraya. Her performance at that time also featured Mila DA7 and resulted in a Golden Ticket that took her to the next stage.
After that, Nana advanced to the Final Audition which started on June 29, 2026. In the Final Audition Group 2, she performed "Secret Love", a performance that not only allowed her to pass but also received special attention from the judges.
While Nana struggles in Group 2, other contestants perform strongly. Bhita from Pangkalpinang secures a direct ticket to the next round after performing Sudahlah by Iyeth Bustami and receiving three standing ovations from the judges.
In addition to Bhita, several other participants also advance to the next round after the final evaluation period. They are Cendi from Maumere, Syafiq from Nunukan, Sahwan from Sampang, and Kira from Bandung.
With these results, Nana Bulungan's journey officially ends in the Top 37. She had previously reached the main stage of this dangdut competition after passing the audition stage and final auditions at the end of June 2026.
