Bhita, Naela, and Danil Trio Achieve 3 Standing Ovations at Dangdut Academy 8, Praised by the Judges

The performance of Bhita, Naela, and Danil Trio successfully captured attention on the stage of Dangdut Academy 8 on July 21, 2026. Performing the song "Gerimis Melanda Hati", the three managed to earn three standing ovations (SO) from the judges, namely Soimah, Dewi Perssik, and Lesti Kejora. Although they all received appreciation, each participant still received notes to make their performances even more mature.

Before the trio's performance began, the stage atmosphere was warmed up with a nostalgic moment between Lesti Kejora and Fildan. The two reunited to duet the song "Gerimis Melanda Hati", a song that once resonated so closely with them. The participants of Dangdut Academy looked mesmerized watching the duet, especially with the deep emotion displayed by Lesti and the vocal quality of Fildan which again received praise.

When entering the assessment session, Soimah admitted to giving special appreciation to Bhita. According to her, Bhita's performance was nearly flawless. "But to be honest, I stand for Bhita because I found no notes," said Soimah.

"But if I may be honest, I stand for Bhita because I found no notes.As for Naela, you need to refill the energy within you. As for Danil, I have loved Danil's vocals from the start. Well, Danil's feedback earlier was that at the beginning during the RAL, he should be more confident," said Soimah.

Dewi Perssik also assessed that Bhita and Danil were the two most outstanding participants in that performance. According to her, Naela actually already has good vocal quality and style, but still needs to improve her expression on stage.

"Among the three, the ones that stand out to me are Bhita and Danil. For Naela, the solution is that Naela has a good voice, her vocal nuances are already good, just her expression is left. As for Bhita, I really like her voice, it's distinctive. The improvements given are really nice, you are confident. For Danil, besides his voice, his performance is important, so when he performs, he should open up more, it's a shame because his voice is good but his lips are not opened enough. (in my opinion for maximum performance) Bhita," Dewi Perssik explained.

Meanwhile, Lesti Kejora admitted that she really enjoyed Danil's vocal color that night. For the overall performance, Lesti still chose Bhita as the best.

"As for me, in today's performance, I actually liked Danil's voice, Danil's performance is solid but the notes also need to be paid attention to. Because you are the one who sings first, so it's very noticeable. For the three performances, I choose Bhita, but I like Danil!"
