Rangga Dangdut Academy 8 Receives SO from Dewi Perssik, Lesti and Soimah Give Advice

Kapanlagi.com - Rangga became the center of attention on the stage of the Final Audition of Dangdut Academy 8 on Tuesday (21/7/2026). Performing as the last contestant, he delivered the legendary song "Nyanyian Setan" by Rhoma Irama and maintained his energy until the end.

Appreciation came from the judges. Dewi Perssik gave a Standing Ovation (SO) and assessed Rangga's effort as worthy of appreciation. Even though he was the last in line, his energy remained consistent from the beginning to the end of the song. This effort was evident throughout his performance.

"I give SO to Rangga, the last contestant but you performed this song energetically even though your eyes were sleepy, but your effort was extraordinary. That should be an example for everyone to keep the energy up," said Dewi Perssik.

Dewi Perssik believes Rangga's spirit is worthy of emulation. She appreciated Rangga's struggle to remain energetic despite appearing physically tired. The SO from Dewi was the only standing ovation that Rangga received in this round. Dewi emphasized that hard work on stage plays an important role in the competition.

On the same occasion, Lesti Kejora and Soimah also provided their assessments. Both appreciated Rangga's spirit and stage aura, while also giving some technical notes for the next performance.

Lesti Kejora praised Rangga's singing style, which she found to be relaxed and appropriate for his age. She also mentioned that Rangga's aura felt pleasant during the performance.

"Rangga, your singing is relaxed, and when you're energetic, your aura is very pleasant and the song you performed is really good. This is a proverb song, yes, the song by Pak Haji Rhoma Irama, and it's just right for your age to sing this song," said Lesti.

On the other hand, Lesti noted that Rangga should be more careful with the tempo in some parts of the song. "Just be careful, there were a few parts where the tempo was a bit off, but overall it was good," she continued.

2. Soimah's Advice: Competition Mentality and Vocal Dynamics

Soimah highlighted Rangga's fighting spirit on stage. According to her, the competitive mentality that Rangga brings is always evident during performances, even though he is still young.

"What I like about Rangga is his fighting spirit; even though he is still young, his competitive spirit is extraordinary. We can see that, even when he is sitting in the corner. But when he performs, his fighting spirit is always there," said Soimah.

As feedback, Soimah asked Rangga to pay more attention to the dynamics so that the song feels more alive. "My suggestion is to pay more attention to the dynamics because in the song earlier from A-Z it was okay, smooth, but the dynamics were forgotten, so there was almost none. So make it sweeter so that the dynamics are more felt," she concluded.
