Lesti Praises Kiara at D'Academy 8 about Articulation and Expression, Reminds Control of Pitch while Performing

However, Kiara mentioned that she was not fully satisfied, especially because she had some issues with breath control while singing the song. On the other hand, Lesti Kejora felt that Kiara's stage action was still enjoyable from start to finish.

"Not fully satisfied, mom, but there were still some parts where Kiara was lacking, first from Kiara's breath which was also a bit short," said Kiara.

After that confession, Lesti's comment came with a different perspective. She emphasized the strong elements of Kiara's performance, while also providing certain technical notes without diminishing her appreciation for the performance.

Lesti mentioned that she enjoyed Kiara's performance. She highlighted the lively facial expressions and the relaxed demeanor. However, Lesti reminded that pitch control should be maintained while singing.

"You feel that way, but I actually enjoy your performance here, especially your expression, your facial expression is very expressive. I think you are relaxed in this solo song, but just be careful with the pitch control," said Lesti.

The wife of Rizky Billar then added another note. Lesti appreciated Kiara's clear articulation that conveyed the lyrics to the audience, especially since the song performed has a lot of movement.

"Because this song has a lot of movement, and what I also like from your performance is the clarity of your articulation. Overall, I enjoyed your performance," she continued.

Lesti's view was echoed by Soimah. She assessed that Kiara's performance this time was better compared to before. Although she still sounded a bit out of breath in some parts, she believed it did not disturb the overall performance.

"I totally agree, this performance is better than the previous one even though I can still hear a bit of breathlessness from behind, but it’s not too disturbing," said Soimah.

Soimah also appreciated Kiara's strategy when her stamina started to deplete. She noted that Kiara reduced her foot movement and relied on facial expressions to keep the performance effective when her breathing decreased.

"You're smart, you play with expressions. That's also a clever way if you want to conserve breath, you don't need to move a lot, just play with expressions. That's enough to represent it," she said.
