Khinan Dangdut Academy 8 Story of Quarantine and Missing Her Sibling

Kapanlagi.com - Khinan, a participant from Surabaya, is now in the top 37 of Dangdut Academy 8. During the competition quarantine, she shared what she misses the most when away from home: her sibling.

"Yes, we are triplets," Khinan said when met at the Emtek Indosiar Studio on Thursday (30/7/2026).

She explained that the sibling she misses so much is also named Khinan. This name is a common element for the three triplets in her family.

As part of the competition, participants are required to undergo quarantine, which demands that they live apart from their families. Khinan fulfills this obligation along with her struggle in the top 37 round.

Even though she is in a dormitory and far from home, Khinan admits that the thing she misses the most is her younger sibling. This closeness is also marked by the similarity of name elements among the three of them as twins.

To maintain a connection with home, Khinan regularly contacts her family every day via phone. In each conversation, she always takes the time to ask for blessings from her father, mother, and younger sibling for her performance on stage.

2. Job Experience Outside the City Helps Adaptation

Khinan says she doesn't often feel homesick during quarantine. Her long-standing habit of working out of town has made her more accustomed to situations away from her parents.

"Because Khinan has often been doing jobs like that. Like going to Central Java for a week. So, with friends. Rarely with dad and mom," Khinan explained, referring to her routine of working outside the city.

This traveling habit serves as a backdrop she presents when explaining her adaptation. She has been used to being away from home for certain durations with coworkers, so her time spent in quarantine is not new to her.

3. Family Support and Father's Legacy in DA Season 1

When asked about feelings of boredom or fatigue from singing, Khinan does not deny that it can arise. However, she recalls her main purpose for being in the Dangdut Academy 8 quarantine dormitory, which is for her family.

Support from home becomes a source of strength. Every day, before performing, she asks for prayers from her father, mother, and younger sibling through a phone call so that she can give her best performance on stage.

Additionally, her motivation to participate in this competition also comes from her father's legacy, who is an alumnus of Dangdut Academy season 1. Her father's experience on that grand stage serves as a driving force for Khinan to continue striving and to deliver her maximum performance.
