Two Visually Impaired Participants Join D'Academy 8 Auditions in Surabaya

Kapanlagi.com - Two visually impaired participants took part in the D'Academy 8 auditions in Surabaya. Syahratul Syifa from Bojonegoro and Ferdiyanto from Lamongan are both ready to showcase their dangdut vocal abilities against other participants.

"Just believe, be confident that you can do it. Never let limitations become an obstacle; turn limitations into motivation," said Syifa at the D'Academy 8 audition site, Giri Loka Building - UPN Veteran Surabaya, Saturday (9/5).

Syifa, who is in the 9th grade at SLB TKK Sumberejo, Bojonegoro, stated that she left her home at dawn. She possesses vocal skills that have been honed naturally from performing at events.

1. Syifa's Dream for a Long Time

Syifa's daily life involves being a solo organ vocalist and singing at many stages and events. Through DA 8, she hopes to have the opportunity to step into Jakarta.

"My long-time dream is to pass DA. I often sing dangdut songs at people's events, like weddings. I often get invited, and I have also participated in auditions in various districts," she revealed.

Syifa admitted to preparing the songs Rta Sugiarto, Bumi Turut Menangis, and Bunga-Bunga Cinta for her audition. She also confessed to being inspired by the vocals of Lesti and Evi, often imitating or performing their style on stage.

"When it comes to Kak Lesti Kejora's songs, I often perform Terkesan," she said while mimicking a snippet of the song.

2. Ferdiyanto the Solo Organ Player

Another participant, Ferdiyanto, is a solo organ keyboard player. In addition to playing music, he also provides vocals for events in the Lamongan and Bojonegoro areas.

"I also sing on the dandutan stage, often receiving invitations all the way to Central Java," he shared.

3. Mila's Impressions & Fildan's Hopes

This largest dangdut talent search event in Indonesia features the 1st place winner of D'Academy 4, Fildan, as the main judge, along with Mila DA7 as a guest star.

Fildan and Mila, while performing the song Bang Toyib in front of the participants, tested Syifa's vocals. They asked Syifa to sing and dance in front of hundreds of other participants.

"Surabaya is really enthusiastic, amazing. They are very ready, with participants in ready outfits, makeup as well, very prepared. Hopefully, these participants will have voices as good as theirs," he expressed.

In line with Mila, Fildan hopes that the East Java auditions will find young talents with unique talents and voices.

"Hopefully, we can find something more unique than the previous DA 7. Indosiar has indeed discovered many unique voices from previous auditions. Let's hope to meet something unique and distinctive again," he stated.
