“I love The Idol. Honestly, I really love it,” Lily-Rose said about the series that follows the story of a rising pop star involved in a complicated relationship with a self-help guru and nightclub owner played by The Weeknd.

“I hope people like it and feel connected to its story. But we knew from the beginning that not everyone would like it. For some people, it might be too bold. However, I remain proud. We took a big risk, and I do not regret that choice," she added.

Lily-Rose Depp expressed her excitement when meeting fans who love The Idol, the series co-created by Sam Levinson of Euphoria. "I love when someone comes up to me and says, 'I love The Idol'. I would reply, "Thank you. You get it!"

According to her, it's okay if the series isn't for everyone, because that's its beauty. Lily-Rose also mentioned Sam and Ashley Levinson as family to her and hopes to collaborate with them again in the future.

She also reflected on the personal journey she experienced during the filming process. “I really enjoyed the experience of making The Idol. It became a major turning point in my life,” she said. Lily-Rose revealed that she learned a lot about herself while honing new skills like dancing and singing that she had never tried before.

The serial The Idol sparked controversy due to its explicit scenes and striking nudity. In fact, Rolling Stone once did a special report on it, and The Guardian called it “one of the worst shows ever made.”

In response to the criticism, Lily-Rose Depp admitted that it was difficult to avoid it. “Clearly, this has become a big talking point, but I was ready for it,” Lily-Rose told Vanity Fair.

According to Lily-Rose, the production team knew what they were doing. “We intentionally touch on shocking, crazy things that have their own world,” she revealed.
