Before the shooting process began, they, who didn't know each other, were required to attend workshops and readings. In their first meeting, Ariel admitted to being surprised because Dika turned out to be a quiet person. 

If not invited to talk, the man prefers to stay silent so that they don't chat even though they are in the same room.

"On the first day of the workshop, I tried small talk because we were going to work together like a married couple and we needed extra chemistry. Normally, there should be effort from both sides, but in the beginning, the effort was from me. I asked, he answered briefly and then stayed quiet. I asked again, he answered briefly and then stayed quiet," Ariel said in a press conference in KH Wahid Hasyim area, Central Jakarta, on Thursday (13/6/2024).

On the second day of the workshop, Ariel Tatum tried an experiment by not speaking at all, hoping that Raditya Dika would start a conversation. However, she became stressed because Dika didn't speak at all. So Ariel then reported to Sunil Soraya as the producer and director.

"After that, on the second day, I tested whether she would talk to me without any small talk. And she didn't talk to me at all. We both kept quiet, cricket sounds, I was stressed. Then I immediately reported to Mr. Sunil, 'Sir, can this person talk?!'" said Ariel.

"Finally, she reported to Mr. Sunil. Because Mr. Sunil has known me for a long time, he said, 'Just let it be, she's always like that, eventually she will talk,'" continued Dika on the same occasion.

Fortunately, after that Ariel Tatum found a similarity that made Raditya Dika open up, which was through the same game and series they both liked. From there until now, Dika can't stop talking when they meet.

"I patiently searched for a formula on how to make him open up to me. After all the hard work, I finally found it through games and series that we both like, and now he can't stop talking," said Ariel Tatum.
