Becoming a Director, Acho Initially Felt Nervous Directing the Cast of 'GARA-GARA WARISAN'

In fact, Acho initially felt nervous directing the actors and actresses involved in his debut film, GARA-GARA WARISAN. Acho, who was directing a feature film for the first time, had to direct big names who were already popular in the acting world.

"The most memorable moment was the first day before meeting the cast. Because for me, they are big names that I have been watching on the screen. It turns out that in my first film, I had to direct them," Acho said during the premiere screening at Cinepolis Malang Town Square (Matos), Malang on Thursday (21/4).

GARA-GARA WARISAN involves senior artists Lydia Kandou, Ira Wibowo, Lukman Sardi, Yayu Unru, and Oka Antara. In addition, it also involves several well-known names such as Ge Pamungkas, Indah Permatasari, Sheila Dara, and others.

1. Initially Nervous

Acho admitted to feeling nervous directing those famous names, and the feeling had already emerged from the beginning, long before the production process began.

"There was a very high level of nervousness, whether they could accept my suggestions or not. So the night before meeting them, I felt nauseous and even vomited," he said.

"But in the end, because chatting with them was so much fun, they were able to listen to all of my directions. Finally, the production ran smoothly, the shooting process ended, and it was very enjoyable," he said.

2. Family Conflict

As the title suggests, GARA-GARA WARISAN tells the story of the inheritance division of three siblings, Adam (Oka Antara), Laras (Indah Permatasari), and Dicky (Ge Pamungkas). This film is packaged with a story of drama full of conflicts in a family that is facing life's challenges.

Acho, who is more known as a comedian, admitted to feeling relieved after successfully completing the film produced by StarVision. This film will premiere in Indonesian theaters on April 30, 2022.

3. Dynamic Storyline

Gara-Gara Warisan tells the story of a wealthy family's life with moral messages and brotherhood. The storyline is very dynamic and at its lowest point, it brings the audience into a sad atmosphere, even shedding tears.

The audience is brought into the closeness of blood ties but must be tested by difficult conditions. This film, which will soon be shown simultaneously in all cinemas in the country, is too good to be missed.
