Bima Azriel and Melati Sesilia Talk About Pro-Player Career in 'NOBODY LOVES KAY'

Talented young actor Bima Azriel has been cast as the main character in the latest drama film titled NOBODY LOVES KAY. Bima plays the character Kay, a young man who struggles to build a career as a professional athlete in the rapidly growing electronic sports industry.

Returning to play the same character after previously being involved in the short film version, Bima admits he had to conduct much deeper research. He spent a lot of time discussing with the director about character development so that the audience could feel Kay's emotions in detail. Here are the details.&

"So at that moment after finishing the shooting of the short film, he was invited again by ONIC and Raka to meet up at a cafe and we discussed making a full-length film version. I was really interested at that point," he said when met in the Meruya area, West Jakarta, Tuesday (05/05/2026).

For him, the NOBODY LOVES KAY project is a golden opportunity to explore the world of professional gamers, which is filled with mental pressure and fierce competition.

In addition to Bima, former JKT48 member and ONIC Brand Ambassador, Melati Sesilia, also joins the cast by playing the character Sinta. Melati is happy because this film can educate the public about various new professions in the digital era.

"In my opinion, this really shows people that aspirations are not just about being a doctor or a police officer, but now it has developed, and being a pro player can also be someone's dream," said Melati.
