Kapanlagi.com - The horror film themed on exorcism DARK POWER is confirmed to continue with a sequel titled DARK POWER: BLOOD PACT. After a huge success with the first film, this sequel project will soon enter the production stage featuring a new cast and different director.
In a press conference held on Friday (27/3) in the Kemang area, South Jakarta, Paragon Pictures along with Ideosource Entertainment officially announced the start of filming in the near future. This film continues the previous story that successfully attracted 1.4 million viewers in 2024.

This time, the director's chair is entrusted to Rizal Mantovani, replacing Bobby Prasetyo who worked on the first film. This change has become a particular focus, given the high expectations from the success of the previous film.
"When I received the (offer) it was quite stressful, a burden. Because the first Kuasa Gelap is a very good horror film and has many viewers. For me to enter into a world that already exists is a burden, but in the end, I thought again, that burden I turned into motivation to explore Kuasa Gelap Kedua more deeply, including other layers that can be developed," said Rizal Mantovani.

In terms of story, Kuasa Gelap: Perjanjian Darah will present a new perspective focusing on the character of Father Rendra. This character has been introduced before, but now his life background will be explored in more depth.

This film also features Lukman Sardi as Father Rendra and Jerome Kurnia as Father Thomas. In addition, several other names join the cast, including Venly Arauna, Keysha Angelica, Sisca Saras, Lydia Kandou, Kiki Narendra, Ferry Salim, and Faiz Vishal.

Interestingly, senior actress Feby Febiola is participating in this project after being away from acting for quite some time. The 47-year-old woman admitted that she accepted the offer immediately without much thought.
"Honestly, I want to confess here. I watched the first Kuasa Gelap, and then I cried. I prayed that this film could lead the viewers to repentance. In my heart, I said, 'God, please give me a chance to act in a film like this,'" she revealed.

This desire finally came true in this sequel. In the film Kuasa Gelap: Perjanjian Darah, Feby Febiola is trusted to portray the character Linda, a woman who has strong faith in facing various life challenges.
"In my eyes, Linda is a warrior of family faith. But of course, a believer is tested. When reading Linda's script, I was moved. She is not strong because of herself, but because of God's strength," explained Feby.

From the story side, this film raises the theme of wealth acquisition from the perspective of Catholic faith, a rare approach in Indonesian cinema. The conflict presented is not only about horror but also an inner struggle and belief.
"Dark Power: Blood Pact presents a theme that has never appeared on Indonesian screens: wealth acquisition from the perspective of Catholic faith. Wealth acquisition is not just fiction or superstition. It is a reality that still occurs in many areas in Indonesia. It is planned that the filming process will begin in April 2026. Although there is no exact date for the screening yet, the film Kuasa Gelap: Perjanjian Darah is confirmed to be released in theaters in 2026 and is ready to continue the success of its first film.
