Delayed Release in Theaters Due to Corona Virus, 'CRAZY TEACHERS' Releases Prequel in Audio Series Form

Kapanlagi.com - The film GURU-GURU GOKIL, produced by Dian Sastrowardoyo, was supposed to be released in theaters last April. However, due to the corona virus pandemic, its release had to be postponed indefinitely.

Nevertheless, promotional strategies are still being carried out to introduce the film which stars Gading Marten, Faradina Mufti, and Asri Welas as the main cast. One of them is by releasing a prequel in the form of an audio series.

"The initial idea for this audio series came from the creative team. Especially in the context of promotion, since the pandemic has extended the timeline, it's a good idea to introduce the characters more," said Shanty Harmayn, one of the producers, in a virtual conference session on Monday (4/5/2020).

The storytelling in this audio series consists of eight episodes that highlight the story before the film version. With the hope that when it is released in theaters, the audience will already be familiar with the hilarious characters of Taat Pribadi, portrayed by Gading Marten, and Dian Sastrowardoyo as Nirmala.

"This audio series can be considered as a warm-up because it introduces some of the characters. So, what kind of conflicts occur between these characters?" explained Dian Sastro in the same session.

The audio series GURU-GURU GOKIL starts airing today, Monday, on iRadio Network simultaneously in six cities including Jakarta, Bandung, Yogyakarta, Makassar, Banjarmasin, and Medan.
