Just a Few Days Into Production, 'GHOST WRITER 2' Film Shooting Process is Halted Due to Corona

Kapanlagi.com - Quietly, the film GHOST WRITER 2 went through the shooting process last March. However, filming had to be stopped because the Covid-19 pandemic prompted the government to urge people not to gather and undergo self-quarantine.

"The shooting has started, but because of this situation, it had to be stopped. I don't know when the shooting will continue or when it will be released," said Bene Dion, the creative producer of GHOST WRITER 2, during a live session on CGV Cinemas' Instagram account, recently.

1. Sequel More Difficult

In the first film, Bene Dion served as the director. However, for this sequel, he serves as the creative producer, replacing Ernest Prakasa. Meanwhile, the director's seat is entrusted to actor and comedian Muhadkly Acho.

Unlike last year, when Bene was relaxed in working on a successful horror comedy that attracted 1.1 million viewers, the sequel is the opposite. This is because the audience's expectations have been formed, so he and the team do not want to disappoint them.

"We can't deny that the second one is more difficult. Because the audience has expectations, there is something expected. In the first film, we were free to create characters and stories because there were no guidelines," explained Bene.

2. The Story is Still a Secret

As for what the story will be like in GHOST WRITER 2, Bene Dion is not willing to reveal it yet. But what is certain is that it will continue what happened after the first film.

The main cast remains the same, namely Tatjana Saphira, Deva Mahenra, Endy Arfian, and Ernest Prakasa. There are also new characters played by Annisa Hertami and senior actress Widyawati.
