In this film, Ersya and Bukie play a couple trapped in a terrifying situation in a village believed to be cursed.

In KAMPUNG JABANG MAYIT: RITUAL MAUT, Ersya plays Weda, a young model with a soaring career who is forced to step back from the spotlight after her boyfriend gets involved in a major scandal. Bukie plays Bagas, Weda's boyfriend, who takes her to flee to his hometown in Rangkaspuna Village—a dark place full of mystical secrets. There, they both attempt to terminate an unwanted pregnancy, but that decision leads them into a circle of deadly rituals.

Ersya and Bukie's performances in this film are said to be some of the scariest acting of their careers. They previously appeared in the film Pabrik Gula, but this time the characters they portray are much darker and more complex. Meanwhile, Bukie admitted to being challenged by the role of Bagas, who is caught between guilt and fear. "I have to delve into a character that is very dark and full of moral dilemmas. This is not just about horror, but also about a person trapped in difficult decisions," he said.

Interestingly, the chemistry between Ersya and Bukie has once again become a highlight. Audiences who have seen them previously in other projects will now witness a more intense and emotional dynamic. In fact, their romantic relationship in this film becomes the starting point of the horrific events that occur in Rangkaspuna Village. "This is the first film where I accepted an offer to be a cameo. Bringing to life an interesting story created by Prasodjo Muhammad, it feels very special to be a small part of bringing a popular story to the big screen," said Nessie.
