Fedi Nuril Leaves Softboy Image, Becomes Tarkam Goalkeeper in 'YOUR FATHER IS A GOALKEEPER'

Kapanlagi.com - The production house Entelekey Sinema Indonesia (ESI) officially released the first teaser poster for the film BAPAKMU KIPER and announced its screening schedule in theaters on September 3, 2026. The poster features Fedi Nuril as Warto, a former local soccer goalkeeper who is trying to block the ball heading towards the goal in a tense situation.

Through this teaser poster, viewers are given an initial glimpse of the comedic atmosphere that will be the main offering of the film. Behind Warto, his teammates appear resigned as they watch the ball rushing towards the goal. Some are closing their eyes, raising their hands, and even shouting, reinforcing the humorous impression conveyed by this film directed by Ody Harahap.

BAPAKMU KIPER is the first film produced independently by Entelekey Sinema Indonesia. Previously, Entelekey Media Indonesia had been involved in the production of the films Pernikahan Arwah and Warung Pocong through collaborations with other production houses. Now, they are taking a new step by presenting an original work that highlights the world of village soccer.

Fedi Nuril expressed his interest in joining because this film raises themes that are close to the lives of Indonesian people. According to him, the atmosphere of local soccer has a strong emotional bond, but it has not been widely portrayed on the big screen as a main story.

"The world of village soccer has an emotional closeness to many Indonesian families, but it is rarely portrayed in its entirety on the big screen. In my opinion, that's what makes your dad the goalkeeper feel special. This film is funny, warm, and very down to earth," explained Fedi Nuril.

In this film, Fedi plays Warto, a former Tarkam goalkeeper who is better known for a series of blunders than for his saves in goal. Behind his often hilarious antics, Warto still tries to help his son, Dino (Ali Fikry), realize his dream of becoming a professional footballer through the Tarkam Super Cup.

Meanwhile, the CEO of Entelekey Sinema Indonesia, Garnet Geraldine Tanja, stated that the launch of the teaser poster is the first step to introduce the character and the story of YOUR FATHER IS A GOALKEEPER to the public before it hits theaters.

"We want people who see the title or the poster to smile immediately. This poster was deliberately designed to directly introduce the character Warto. In one image, the audience can feel the panic, the humor, and the comedy that will be the main colors of this film. Moniaga, and Joko Nugroho. The script is written by Titien Wattimena, Aaron Hart, along with the Katatinut team.

YOUR FATHER IS A GOALIE tells the story of Dino, a teenager who harbors disappointment towards his father, Warto, a former local league goalkeeper who is more often remembered for his blunders on the field. When the opportunity to pursue his dream as a professional football player comes through the Super Cup, Warto unexpectedly returns to the field and gathers the most eccentric team, ranging from neighborhood watch members, shamans, to pickpockets, to help his son achieve victory.

The film YOUR FATHER IS A GOALIE is scheduled to be released in cinemas across Indonesia starting September 3, 2026.
