Film Debut of Producer Dian Sastrowardoyo, 'GURU-GURU GOKIL' Releases First Teaser Trailer

Kapanlagi.com - Today, Tuesday (1/21), the debut film of Dian Sastrowardoyo, GURU-GURU GOKIL releases its first trailer. At the Press Conference held at XXI Plaza Senayan, Central Jakarta, Dian Sastro explained the outline of the film.

"This film tells the journey of someone finding their true self through unusual things outside of their usual habits," said Dian Sastrowardoyo.

Moreover, considering that this is her first film debut as a producer, the 37-year-old actress sees this as a learning experience.

"Making a film about teachers, as a first-time producer, I consider this as a learning experience to produce a film. Because I have never produced a film before," she added.

1. The Toughest Challenge as a Producer

Being a film producer for the first time, Dian Sastro admitted that it was quite challenging. She had to rack her brain to ensure that this film could be produced well.

"I had to rack my brain. I was involved since the writing stage. So, I participated in the writing, broke down the characters, and it turned out that I had to play one of the characters," she explained.

Furthermore, Dian Sastro had to enter and portray a character in this film, which she slightly regretted.

"So, I had to be prepared to play the character. I regretted why I recommended my character to be like this. Then, I played it and regretted it myself," she continued.

2. Gading Marten and Faradina Mufti as the Main Cast

In addition to Dian Sastro, Gading Marten and Faradina Mufti will also play roles in the film GURU-GURU GOKIL. When offered the role of Taat, Gading immediately accepted it.

"When I was offered and saw the lineup like this, only a fool would reject it. When the schedule matched, we started shooting. It was really exciting because the film is about school children," said Gading Marten.

Meanwhile, Faradina Mufti admitted to being nervous about this new film that she will star in. "Hmm, honestly, I'm nervous. When we started shooting, I didn't want to do anything foolish in front of experienced actors. The shooting is serious and fun," said Faradina Mufti.

3. Synopsis of GURU-GURU GOKIL

GURU-GURU GOKIL itself tells the story of a teacher named Taat (Gading Marten) who is searching for his identity by becoming a teacher at a school.

While teaching, Taat continues to encounter many moments that can change his perspective on the meaning of success and his own identity emerges.
