Producer's Decision, Director Gives Authority to Reject Mawar De Jongh's Selection in '#TEMANTAPIMENIKAH 2'

Kapanlagi.com - The movie #TEMANTAPIMENIKAH 2 will be released in theaters at the end of February. During the release of the soundtrack titled Teman Sampai Surga performed by Dengarkan Dia, it was announced that the character Ayudia will be portrayed by Mawar De Jongh instead of Vanesha Prescilla.

The decision to change the cast was made by Falcon Pictures as the production house. However, it did not immediately receive approval from Rako Prijanto as the director. Because Mawar had to undergo a screen test first before being declared suitable or not.

"The decision to replace Mawar was made by Falcon Pictures. But they still give us the freedom as creators if suddenly we disagree," said Rako during the launch of the poster and trailer for #TEMANTAPIMENIKAH 2 at the Falcon Pictures office in Duren Tiga, South Jakarta, on Monday (20/1/2020).

1. The Suitable Figure

After conducting the screen test, it turns out that Rako Prijanto sees potential in Mawar De Jongh. Moreover, he is impressed with the 18-year-old's performance in every film she starred in.

"Coincidentally, during the screen test and meeting Mawar, we saw that she is suitable for what is needed. I became more convinced after talking to her. She is suitable for the story content when Ayudia is pregnant in Sekala," added Rako.

2. Two Different Contents

Furthermore, Rako Prijanto explained that the story of #TEMANTAPIMENIKAH 2 is very different from the first film. The first film tells the story of Ayudia and Ditto when they were in school, college, and then got married. Meanwhile, the second film discusses what happens after marriage.

"In my opinion, TTM and TTM2 are two very different contents. If TTM tells the story of school, college, and marriage, TTM2 is about what happens after marriage, with more conflicts compared to the first film," concluded Rako.
