Involved Again in the Film 'BEFORE THE DEVIL TAKES THE VERSE 2', Turns Out Chelsea Islan Was Hesitant

Kapanlagi.com - Once again receiving an offer to play the character Alfie in the film BEFORE THE DEVIL TAKES THE VERSE 2 directed by Timo Tjahjanto, Chelsea Islan admitted she was very excited. Because according to her, horror thriller genre films like this cannot be found elsewhere, especially for the character played by Chelsea.

"Actually, I've been looking for a horror thriller film like this for a long time. Because this film cannot be found elsewhere, only Timo can make it, especially for the character I play. So I want to be involved again," said Chelsea Islan when met at Metropolitan Mall Cileungsi, West Java, on Saturday night (18/1).

1. Exhausting Shooting Process

In addition, Chelsea said that initially when offered to act again in this film, she was hesitant, considering how tiring the shooting process was with Timo. But then, when she started reading the screenplay draft, the doubt disappeared.

"Honestly, I didn't expect there would be a continuation of this film. At first, I thought about it because of the flashback to the first SIM shooting, but after I read the draft, it turned out that the story is exciting and crazier. Just by reading it, our adrenaline was pumped and we could immediately imagine the result," said the 24-year-old actress.

2. Many Challenging Scenes

Indeed, after undergoing a month-long shooting process in Jakarta and Bogor, Chelsea Elizabeth Islan, the full name owner, felt exhausted facing scene after scene. Not only that, she also faced many challenging and tense scenes under the direction of the director known for his horror films.

"In this second film, it's more tense, fearful, and nauseating than the first one. So Alfie in the film 'Sebelum Iblis Menjemput Ayat 2' thought he had escaped from the previous haunting because he had lost all his family members. He is only with his step sister named Nara," she explained.

3. BEFORE THE DEVIL TAKES AYAT 2

The character Alfie played by Chelsea must return to the terror that has been done before, namely a bigger and more chilling terror. The sequel to the movie BEFORE THE DEVIL TAKES AYAT 2 will be released in theaters on February 27, 2020.
