Marthino Lio and Ladya Cheryl Perform Fighting Scene in the Film 'SEPERTI DENDAM', Even Got Hit for Real!

Kapanlagi.com - The film SEPERTI DENDAM RINDU HARUS DIBAYAR TUNTAS, directed by Edwin, has completed the shooting process some time ago. The drama adaptation of the novel of the same title by Eka Kurniawan is starring Marthino Lio as Ajo Kawir, Ladya Cheryl as Iteung, and Sal Priadi as Tokek.

During the shooting, which took place in Rembang, Central Java, there was a fighting scene between Lio and Ladya. The process itself took a long time, and Lio willingly got hit by his co-star.

"The scene was prepared by the stunt team, and the preparation took a month for me and Ladya to focus on this scene. I didn't hit Ladya, but I was the one who got hit in the face," Lio recalled during a virtual conference on Thursday (5/11/2020).

1. Hot Weather

In addition to many scenes that require a lot of energy, it turns out that the location conditions also become the attention of the actors and actresses. As is known, being on the coast makes the weather hot and humid.

"Shooting in Rembang was really hot and we were there for a full month. It's a coastal area, so it's hot and humid. The shooting started in early February, and the last three days were canceled due to the pandemic. Finally, we continued, it was difficult, but we had to finish what we started," Lio joked.

2. Addressing Masculinity Issues

LIKE THE WIND'S REVENGE MUST BE PAID IN FULL tells the story of Ajo Kawir, a delinquent young man who is impotent due to childhood trauma. He is liked by Iteung, a woman who has been a victim of sexual abuse.

Although it brings up a taboo theme, Sal Priadi revealed that the issues in this film will still be presented in a fun way.

"This is a new theme that is daring to be addressed in the present time. It provides a perspective on masculinity and how young people deal with such matters. There is violence, action, but wrapped in a fun way," Sal said on the same occasion.
