Oki Rengga Delayed Filming 'AGAK LAEN' Because He Watched Chris Brown in the Netherlands

There’s always a unique story behind the filming process of the box office sequel, AGAK LAEN: MENYALA PANTIKU. Who would have thought that one of its members, Oki Rengga, actually caused the production schedule to be slightly delayed. The reason was quite surprising, as he and his wife boldly flew to the Netherlands to watch a concert by the world R&B musician, Chris Brown.

This incident was revealed directly by Oki Rengga at a press conference in South Jakarta on Friday (7/11/2025). He admitted that his sacrifice to fly far to the Netherlands to see his idol was not entirely rewarded.

"By the way, Chris Brown brought 50 songs to his concert that day. There was one song that I really memorized so that when he sang, I could sing along. That song wasn’t performed," said Oki Rengga with a slightly disappointed tone.

Realizing his negligence that caused the shooting schedule to be delayed, Oki immediately felt guilty. He admitted to panicking and quickly contacted all the important parties, from producer Ernest Prakasa and Dipa Andika, to director Muhadkly Acho to apologize.

Fortunately, the producers showed incredible understanding. Ernest Prakasa even gave him permission to continue enjoying his vacation for the happiness of his family.

"I called Bang Acho, called Mr. Dipa, called Koh Ernest, called Astrada, I apologized for everything until in the end, 'It's okay, Bang, it's safe,' like that," Oki recalled.

Not only to the production team, he also felt guilty towards his three friends in Agak Laen, namely Indra Jegel, Boris Bokir, and Bene Dion. As a form of apology, Oki also made sure to bring souvenirs from the Netherlands. However, the gifts he gave ended up bringing laughter.

"I’m being honest, I apologize, I brought them all refrigerator magnet souvenirs," said Oki.

Although there were some initial obstacles, Oki is grateful because overall the shooting process went very smoothly. According to him, they managed to complete all the scenes on time.

"Yes, but the point is it went well. We filmed for about 22 to 23 days, and it went without any scene debts, without any obstacles during the shoot," he explained.
