Rano Karno Visits Benyamin's Grave, Special Mission for the Young Doel Actor

Kapanlagi.com - Rano Karno visited Benyamin Sueb's grave located in TPU Karet Bivak, Central Jakarta. He came on Tuesday morning (7/1) accompanied by the cast of the movie SI DOEL, namely Mandra, Suti Karno, Salman Al Farizi, as well as two teenage actors Reybong and Ahmad Zulhoir Mardia.

In addition to the visit, Rano Karno apparently had a special mission. Namely, introducing the legendary figure Benyamin S who played Babe Sabeni to the young Doel actor and Kartubi.

"Every year we visit. But today, in the 27th year of Si Doel's journey, we must come to Babe's grave. We also bring the new generation in this family, namely the young Doel and Abi. It turns out they have never been here before," said Rano.

Mandra added, "So in the future, they won't need to be taught again. They already know who Babe is and can come here on their own."

1. Frequent Pilgrimage

Rano Karno revealed that every year he always takes the time to visit Benyamin Sueb's grave. Because many of his family members are buried there.

"I often make a pilgrimage here. Because my grandfather is here, my aunt is here. So at least before the holiday or before fasting, I visit the family and also Benyamin's grave. Although my mother and father are buried in Tanah Kusir, there are many family members here," explained Rano.

2. Since the Age of 9

Rano Karno has known Benyamin Sueb since he was nine years old. He was also entrusted with a task before the Betawi comedian passed away.

"I have known Babe since I was nine years old. We also lived close by, I in Kemayoran and Babe in Haji Ung. When I was little, I also played in Si Doel Anak Betawi with Babe. That's why since I was little, even though we didn't play in many films together, Babe was like a parent to me," concluded the bespectacled man.
