Starring Ibnu Jamil and Putri Ayudya, the film 'MUDIK' will be exclusively aired on Mola TV

Kapanlagi.com - Mudik is one of the highly anticipated moments for everyone. Especially for those who are away from their families, mudik is something that cannot be missed when the time for Eid arrives. 

However, in 2020, mudik seems to be a very rare moment. The pandemic and the prohibition of returning to hometowns have made many people have to stay longer and cannot meet their families.

From this mudik activity, the young director, Adriyanto Dewo, tried to pour his creative ideas into a film titled MUDIK. This film tries to portray another side of mudik that is not only about going back to the hometown, but also about spiritual journey and life. 

1. Synopsis

The film MUDIK tells the story of Aida (Putri Ayudya) and her husband Firman (Ibnu Jamil) who are having conflicts and decide to go back to their hometown before Eid.

During the journey, they experience a tragic event that leads them to meet Santi (Asmara Abigail), a village woman who ultimately changes Aida and Firman's perspective on marriage and their future.

Previously, the film MUDIK competed in the 4th International Films Festival & Awards Macau (IFFAM) in December 2019. Competing internationally, this film received positive feedback from the jury.

Produced by Relate Films and Lifelike Pictures, MUDIK will be the first Indonesian film to have an exclusive release on Mola TV, and Indonesian film lovers can watch this film by Director Adriyanto Dewo starting from August 28, 2020.
