Syifa Hadju Willing to 'Beg' for Casting to be Involved in the Film 'SEJUTA SAYANG UNTUKNYA'

Kapanlagi.com - The latest film Syifa Hadju titled SEJUTA SAYANG UNTUKNYA will be available for streaming on Disney+ Hotstar starting Friday (23/10). In the drama directed by Herwin Novianto, Syifa acts alongside the seasoned actor who has won the Piala Citra award multiple times, Deddy Mizwar.

When offered the casting opportunity, Syifa Hadju was thrilled because Deddy Mizwar, who also serves as the producer, implemented a unique method of searching for actors. So, even from the casting process, the girlfriend of Rizky Nazar has already gained a lot of lessons.

"When I got the offer for casting, I was really excited like 'Seriously?'. Deddy's father has a unique casting method that I have never experienced before. During the casting, I felt like I learned a lot," said Syifa in a recent virtual conference.

1. Request for Casting Again

After finishing the casting, Syifa Hadju even pleaded with her manager to be able to cast again if there was something that could make her fail to enter. But shortly after, she received a call to proceed to the next stage and was eventually accepted.

"I even told my manager, 'If I'm not enough, I will cast again, I really want to get that role'. Until finally, I was called again and not just once, I went through several stages until finally getting the role," said the 20-year-old actress.

2. Complex High School Character

In the movie SEJUTA SAYANG UNTUKNYA, Syifa Hadju plays the character of a high school student named Gina who has a father who is an extra actor named Actor Sagala. For the sake of her education and happiness, Actor does many things even if it hurts him. On the other hand, this makes Gina feel pressured.

"In my opinion, this role is very complex. Gina's character seems simple but very complex in terms of background and psychology. So how can I understand Gina's character and make her come alive? The story of this film is already beautiful, I fell in love with the character. And I feel like I have to bring this character to life as beautifully as the script," said Syifa.
