The Cost of Making Superhero Costume Gatotkaca in 'SATRIA DEWA GATOTKACA' is Almost Rp 1M, Here's the Cause...

Kapanlagi.com - The superhero film SATRIA DEWA GATOTKACA will start shooting in April. However, the preparation process has been carried out since early 2019 with great detail.

One of them is the making of Gatotkaca costume. Rene Ishak, the producer, said that the design was made by a local artist. However, the production was handed over to the expert who made Daredevil costumes.

"All the designs, from 3D concept to articulation, were done in Indonesia. But for the sewing, we had to call the best in the industry. They are the ones who have sewn Daredevil costumes," said Rene when met at Kota Kasablanka, South Jakarta, on Sunday (26/1/2020).

Rene Ishak said he didn't just order three or five costumes. But 100 pieces to be used during this franchise.

"Just try to evaluate it yourself, can ten million make this? I ordered 100 costumes ha ha ha. If you estimate it, just for the costumes alone it's almost one billion," he leaked.

For the design of the Gatotkaca costume itself, it still adheres to the standards known by the public. Interestingly, even though it looks complicated and heavy, the costumes made will make it easier for the players.

"This Gatotkaca costume with stars has become a trademark, we don't imitate Captain Marvel because the Mahabharata story itself has been around for hundreds of years. The costume material is made from a mixture of iron, rubber, and leather, there are also Jepara batik carving motifs. It only weighs seven kilos. The cool thing is, inside it will be cool, so the person wearing it won't feel hot," Rene concluded.
