Touted as the Biggest Action Film of the Year, '13 BOM DI JAKARTA' Will be Released in Theaters on December 28, 2023

Kapanlagi.com - At the end of 2023, precisely on December 28, Visinema Pictures production house will release a film titled 13 BOM DI JAKARTA, which is touted as the biggest action film of the year.

The film, directed by Angga Dwimas Sasongko and produced by Taufan Adryan, stars a number of famous artists such as Chicco Kurniawan, Ardhito Pramono, Lutesha, Rio Dewanto, Putri Ayudya, Ganindra Bimo, Niken Anjani, Rukman Rosadi, Muhammad Khan, and Andri Mashadi.

"The inspiration for the story comes in part from the incident of a bomb in Tangerang that we know happened in 2015 or 2016, and the bomber demanded a ransom in the form of bitcoin from indodax," said Angga Dwimas Sasongko at XXI Epicentrum, Thursday (21/12/2023).

"It was in the news and it caught my attention and became an inspiration for my story," Angga added.

In his latest work, Angga has great expectations to be able to minimize terrorism actions in Indonesia. Also, things that are against the law.

"Basically as a filmmaker, as a storyteller, we do not agree with any form of terrorism and actions that violate the law," said Angga.

"What is expected from this is that people can have fun going to the cinema at the end of the year, watching action movies that are made with full dedication. Hopefully, we can be proud if the film industry in Indonesia can reach the same technical level as the global industry," he concluded.

The film 13 BOM DI JAKARTA tells the story of Jakarta, a metropolitan city with all its hustle and bustle, suddenly turning dark. A group of terrorists launched their attacks with the threat of 13 bombs scattered throughout Jakarta.

The investigation by the Indonesian Counterterrorism Agency (ICTA) into the terrorism leads to Oscar (Chicco Kurniawan) and William (Ardhito Pramono), two young entrepreneurs in the field of digital currency who are considered to be involved.

The ICTA team's mission becomes complicated when they suspect there is an infiltrator within the team. On the other hand, the leader of the terrorist group, Arok (Rio Dewanto), continues to spread terror by detonating bombs every 8 hours.

The only way to stop the terrorist attacks is to provide a fantastic reward or the safety of all citizens of Jakarta will be threatened.
