8 Portraits of Scenes from ONE NIGHT IN MIAMI, the Story of the Meeting of 4 Black Skin Struggle Figures

The big issue raised in this film is about racism that was very common in America in the 60s.

Starting from a conversation in a hotel room, these four phenomenal figures voice important issues that not only happened in society at that time, but also happened to themselves.  

The dialogues and arguments that took place in the room also suggest that it was a very difficult time for black people to express their opinions and concerns. Even these four characters had to become 'figures' first and be in a closed room just to have a discussion.

For those who don't know how important their characters were at that time. Come on, let's dissect them one by one. Muhammad Ali, a legendary world boxer who won the world championship for the first time in 1964. Jim Brown, a successful athlete who became an icon in football and film. Sam Cooke, one of the great singers of that era. And Malcolm X, the most influential figure in the black movement at that time.

When working on this film, Regina King had a significant burden, considering that this debut film features influential figures who have made a global impact through their respective achievements.

The cast also felt the weight, as they portrayed significant figures known worldwide.

In this film, the moment when Muhammad Ali declared his conversion to Islam is also captured.

Recently, thanks to his role as Malcolm X, Kingsley Ben-Adir won the Breakthrough Actor award at the Dotham Awards.
