As usual, the European Film Awards will be held at the end of this year, and the nominations have already been announced. These nominations can serve as a reference to project strong contenders for the Oscars. For instance, in the previous edition, the winner of Best European Film 2023, ANATOMY OF A FALL, managed to secure several Oscar nominations, just like TRIANGLE OF SADNESS and QUO VADIS, AIDA? in earlier editions.

Now, the question arises as to who will continue that legacy. To answer this, here is a list of the best European films of 2024 that have been selected from the nominations for Best Feature and Animated Films at this year's European Film Awards.

Let's take a look at this list of films and see their potential to compete in the upcoming Oscars!
