Forms of this issue include slavery, genocide, segregation, and many more. Although the rules regarding black slavery were abolished in 1865, it does not mean that black people are completely free from discrimination by white people.

There have been many American films, both fiction and documentary, that have narrated and depicted the discrimination of the majority towards minorities. Usually, these films are presented in the genres of history, drama, or comedy. However, there are also some horror films that address this issue of racism.

GET OUT tells the story of a black man named Chris Washington (played by Daniel Kaluuya) who visits the home of his white girlfriend's parents. Chris's arrival coincides with his girlfriend's family's annual event. Although his girlfriend's family seems nice and welcoming, Chris experiences strange events while he is there.

After discovering the secret behind his girlfriend's family, Chris tries to escape from their residence. The film explicitly portrays black people as tools used by white people to achieve perfection, suggesting that no black person can surpass white people.

2. MA (2019)

MA is about a reclusive black woman named Sue Ann (played by Octavia Spencer). One day, a group of young people move to her neighborhood. Sue Ann sees this as an opportunity to make new friends, so she warmly welcomes the group of white young people.

Sue Ann allows them to use her place for parties and gatherings, but she sets some rules for them. At some point, Sue Ann's friendliness turns into an obsession. The film implies that black people are dangerous, similar to classic horror movies that portray the horror of the Negro race.

3. BAD HAIR (2020)

BAD HAIR tells the story of a corporate woman named Anna Bludso (played by Elle Lorraine). Anna has a hairstyle that most black people have and she initially takes pride in it. However, one day, Anna's boss asks her to change her hairstyle.

Reluctantly, Anna changes her hair to straight using hair extensions. After changing her hairstyle, Anna becomes the center of attention. Unfortunately, mysterious and creepy things slowly start happening to her new hair.

4. ANTEBELLUM (2020)

ANTEBELLUM tells the story of Veronica (played by Janelle Monae), a housewife and career woman. Veronica is an African-American descendant who struggles to uphold the rights of black citizens.

Her actions certainly invite displeasure from some parties, especially white people. Until one day, Veronica is kidnapped to the past where slavery of black people still occurs. She and a few others devise a plan to return to their time.

5. CANDYMAN (2021)

CANDYMAN is a film that revolves around the urban legend of a killer ghost with a hook-shaped hand named Candyman. This ghost can be summoned by saying his name in front of a mirror five times.

One day, a black writer named Anthony McCoy (played by Yahya Abdul Mateen II) who doesn't believe in Candyman brings back this horror game trend, causing a terrifying terror to afflict a whole city. In this film, Candyman is created from the violence of the white race against black people, resulting in a series of heinous actions.
