Sigourney Weaver's Struggle for the Underwater Scenes in 'AVATAR 2'

Kapanlagi.com - Director James Cameron recently revealed that the production of AVATAR 2 has been completed successfully, not forgetting AVATAR 3. When asked how long it took to make both the live-action and motion capture, this production took quite a long time. Cameron and the film crew started production in 2017 until early July 2020. If the production goes according to plan, it will be completed by the end of 2019, but the delay in production was quite long due to the coronavirus pandemic.

The leak in the series AVATAR 2 will show a planet with a very vast ocean. This makes many scenes in AVATAR 2 to be filmed in the ocean. According to Sigourney Weaver, every actor had to train with elite water divers first in order to hold their breath underwater for six minutes, in order to maximize the number of recordings taken.

When The New York Times met with Sigourney Weaver, she said she didn't mind having to train in diving first. She even said to herself 'You can't do this.' Or, 'You can't do that.' 

"Let me do it! And we'll see," she said firmly. Although Weaver has some concerns, she still wants to do the training so that people don't think, 'Oh, she's old, she can't do this.'

Seeing Weaver passion and journey in the film industry, making her a big screen icon. Especially as Ellen Ripley, who is tough in the ALIEN FRANCHISE. Which tells the story of a woman fighting a lot with xenomorphs, who ultimately sacrifices herself to give birth to a new alien. Regarding the character she will play in AVATAR 2 and its sequels, it is still unknown whether she will portray a new character.

AVATAR 2 will be starred by Zoe Saldana, Sam Worthington, Giovanni Ribsi, Sigourney Weaver. As well as renowned stars, such as Kate Winslet, Michelle Yeoh, Clif Curtis, and Edie Falco. This film is scheduled to be released in theaters on December 16, 2020, followed by 3 sequels each year.
