THE LAST OF US captivates audiences with the premise of a zombie outbreak caused by a parasitic fungus called Cordyceps. This fungus is said to infect humans, turning those infected into zombies. As if the cliffhanger ending in the first season wasn't enough, the second season presents scenes that shock the audience.
As of the writing of this article, THE LAST OF US has reached episode 6 in season 2. This HBO series has been confirmed by producer Craig Mazin to have one more season coming after the announcement in April.
“As the story develops, each episode becomes bigger and more complex. We don’t want to make the audience wait too long just to wrap everything up in one season,” he stated via Variety.
