As a top soloist in the South Korean music industry, Taeyeon certainly presents something special in her new album. Released in February, which is synonymous with Valentine's Day celebration, this INVU album carries the theme of love.

"As usual, I want to showcase songs from various genres while creating a connection between tracks to build a comprehensive theme/concept. To achieve this, I paid a lot of attention to how the tracks are arranged and their sequence. The overall theme of this album is love, so I also put more effort into the lyrics while working on the album. With each new release, I always look for ways to grow as a vocalist, so with this album, I pushed myself to expand my vocal range by trying different styles and techniques," said Taeyeon during the press conference held prior to the release of the INVU album, on Monday (14/2/2022).

2. Message to Listeners

In addition to creating, Taeyeon also prepared a special message for the listeners of her songs. It is said that this INVU album will be very relatable to the situations experienced by the listeners, cool, right!

"As I mentioned before, the theme of this album is love. There are many different faces of love. Love has different meanings depending on the person, and I want everyone to find a song in this album that relates to their current situation. Love is always with us, and I want to express it in unexpected ways, different from other love songs. In other words, I want to make an album that makes listeners think about love again," she said.

3. Experience the Pain of Love

Taeyeon also revealed how she felt the first time she heard the song Can't Control Myself. She couldn't lie if she imagined someone feeling the pain of love.

"When I listened to the song Can't Control Myself for the first time, I thought of all these stories based on the emotions I felt at that time. The elements of the song, such as the source and the voice, helped me imagine the story. When I heard Can't Control Myself, I thought of someone whose heart was torn apart because of love," Taeyeon said.

4. Recommend the song 'Heart'

When asked further about which song is the most attached and she wants to recommend to fans besides INVU, Taeyeon chooses the track Heart. What is the reason?

"It's difficult to choose just one because they are all special to me. From all the teasers, Heart is the only song that doesn't include my vocals. You only hear the sound of bass guitar and it ends right after," Taeyeon said.

She continued, "The meaning is to express the atmosphere formation that exists on the track. In the chorus part, the explosive emotions feel very refreshing. The lyrics send a message to my fans and describe my appreciation for all their love, so this is very meaningful."

5. Topping the South Korean Music Charts and iTunes

The latest song by Taeyeon Can't Control Myself, which was just released on January 17, 2022, has topped the Genie and Bugs music charts shortly after its release.

Not only that, the song has also topped the 'Top Song' iTunes chart in 14 countries, including Indonesia, Thailand, Singapore, Saudi Arabia, Vietnam, Malaysia, Taiwan, Cambodia, the Philippines, Hong Kong, Peru, Macau, Malta, and Bahrain. The music video for Can't Control Myself has also topped the 'MV Chart' in the South Korea category on QQ Music.
