Previously, the record for SBS Saturday-Sunday dramas was held by The Fiery Priest and Vagabond with 10.4%. Hyena, which aired before The King: Eternal Monarch, also achieved a rating of 10.3% in its premiere episode.

Another popular drama airing at the same time is The World of the Married on JTBC. This drama received a rating of 18.5%, a decrease of 0.3% from the previous episode. But still very high. Another drama airing at the same time is Eccentric! Chef Moon on Channel A and received a rating of 0.8%.
