Kapanlagi.com - The VOX band returns to enliven the music scene in the country after disappearing for 14 years. After being only available in compact disc and audio cassette formats since its release in 2007, the debut album of one of Surabaya's best music groups, VOX, is now available on various digital streaming platforms.
"At one point, they can be said to be the best 'export' of Surabaya's independent music scene to the Indonesian pop world. It's time to reconnect the appreciation to new listeners," said David Tarigan, the album's producer who is now also an A&R from demajors. The album titled AT FIRST can now be enjoyed by music fans starting from November 12, 2021. It is available again thanks to VOX's collaboration with demajors record label.
The VOX group, consisting of Vega Antares (guitar, vocals), Joseph Sudiro (bass, vocals), Donnie Setiohandono (keyboard, vocals), and Gabriel Mayo (drums, vocals), was formed in Surabaya in 2006. The following year, they were signed by an independent label from the capital city, Aksara Records, and released their debut album At First. In 2009, they recorded their second album, which has not been officially released until now.

VOX guitarist, Vega Antares, reveals his hopes for this second album. He hopes that the presence of this album at the beginning can be a good start after being stored for twelve years and has not been released. Vega Antares himself has also been involved in the production department of Republik Cinta and has been a producer for artists such as Ari Lasso and Bilal Indrajaya.
"Hopefully, this will also be the beginning of the presence of new VOX materials," he said enthusiastically and hopeful for his music group. At the Beginning contains 12 solid pop/rock tracks, with a musical style inspired by legendary groups like The Beatles and The Beach Boys.
In 2017, they were contracted by a label from the capital city, Aksara Records, and released their debut album At the Beginning in compact disc and audio cassette formats. Now, VOX fans and music enthusiasts can listen to this album on digital music platforms.
Becoming an Adult was chosen as the focus track for VOX's comeback and the album At the Beginning to the ears and hearts of music listeners in the country. Of course, now with a more mature package... More mature!
