After a Long Hiatus, Gusanda Latova Makes a Comeback and Becomes a New Phenomenon in the World of Javanese Music

Kapanlagi.com - In 2014, a singer from Wonosobo named Gusanda Latova (26) became popular in West Java with his hit single Kau Takkan Tahu (You Will Never Know). However, since then, he went on hiatus and recently decided to make a comeback with the single Ngerti (Understanding).

Interestingly, this time Gusanda presents a different musical style, namely Javanese songs wrapped in a melancholic love story. The song Ngerti was created by Gusanda based on his personal experience in the past.

"The lyrics are very sharp, I created this song because I was inspired by my personal story. I decided to switch to Javanese music genre. Although I was initially pessimistic, after trying to create one song, Alhamdulillah, I received positive responses from the public and I will continue to consistently make Javanese songs," said Gusanda in a recent interview.

1. Already Prepared 4 Other Javanese Songs

After releasing Ngerti, Gusanda has actually prepared at least 4 more songs that are part of a series of Javanese-themed songs. These songs are planned to be released in 2021. Gusanda hopes that these works can be enjoyed by music lovers in the country.

"This will certainly be the trigger for my enthusiasm to continue working in the Indonesian music industry," he added shortly.

Outside the music world, Gusanda himself is a successful entrepreneur. He has his own business called Latova Group, which he started while he was still in college. Gusanda's success is like a slap back to those who used to underestimate him.

A little flashback to his middle school days, Gusanda often became the target of bullying by his friends, even labeled as Madesu (Gloomy Future). The reason is that Gusanda was considered stupid in Mathematics. To refute that assumption, Gusanda worked hard to pursue his field of expertise and build his own business. The result? Now Gusanda has dozens of employees and branches in several cities in Central Java and Yogyakarta.
