As its popularity continues to rise, Dongker's career journey has never been free from various hot discussions among music enthusiasts. From Arno Zarror's iconic appearance in a balaclava to a series of controversies involving the guitarist, Delpi Suhariyanto, this band from Bandung seems to never be out of the spotlight.

From his decision to run as a legislative candidate (caleg), incidents with rogue police officers, to his action of kicking a fan on stage, Delpi's name has repeatedly gone viral and sparked diverse reactions from netizens. In facing all of this, the members of Dongker choose not to take it too seriously and remain sane.

"We prefer not to respond too much. What is it? If it’s related to netizens, there’s a lot, we choose not to respond too much, right? The important thing is our internal matters and my relationship with them. Well, in the end, if it’s netizens, we don’t really respond to it," said Delpi Suhariyanto during a conversation with Kapanlagi.com

For Dongker, the most important thing is to maintain internal solidarity and focus on their work. Arno Zarror, who also manages the band's social media, admits that their response to negative comments is to remain calm and not get provoked. He often reminds those close to him not to respond to harsh comments that come in.

"Yes, the response is to just stay sane, Sir. Because I happen to be the one managing social media. And now, my girlfriend is the one handling TikTok. Well, she. Since she is still active, she replies to those comments. 'Oh, don't.' Because there are still some like that until today, Sir," Arno revealed.

Although reluctant to respond excessively, Delpi admits that the experience of going viral has taught him valuable lessons. If during the first controversy he felt mentally shocked, now he is more experienced in managing his emotions and responding to various public reactions.

"If it was just once because I had never experienced it, now I am experienced. There is experience to finally respond in my heart about how to do it, what the way to place it is," explained Delpi.

Whether acknowledged or not, these various controversies have actually contributed to elevating Dongker's name to a wider audience. In fact, some people claimed to have only learned about Dongker's existence after one of its members went viral on social media.

"But honestly, because of that I also got to know Dongker," said Fikri, a reporter from Kapanlagi.com who interviewed Dongker.

In the end, Dongker proves that the best way to respond to outside noise is to keep creating. After going through various storms of controversy, they are now back with their latest work, a full collaboration album with Jason Ranti titled I Don't Know and I Dongker.
