Celebrate Indonesia's 79th Independence, Slank and Tony Q Rastafara Will Be Present at Merdekafest 2024

Kapanlagi.com - In celebration of Indonesia's 79th independence on August 17, 2024, a number of local musicians and bands will enliven Merdekafest 2024 at GWK Bali. This event is initiated by GWK Cultural Park in collaboration with Promotor Dipta Komunika.

Merdekafest 2024 will present the excitement of enjoying music through Merdeka Bermusik, a collaboration between Dipta Komunika, Palmy Kreatif, and Bali Reggae Star Festival. Big names like Slank, Tony Q Rastafara, Lyodra, Juicy Lucy, The Adams, and others will entertain the audience. Musicians and bands from Bali will also participate, such as SID, Joni Agung & Double T, Lolot, and several others.

In the morning, Merdekafest 2024 will kick off with Merdeka Berlari, a fun run concept covering a distance of 5 Km. This inaugural healthy run at Bali's iconic tourism spot aims to elevate the name of GWK Cultural Park as a destination with multifunctional activity potential.

Carrying the theme of Indonesia's independence, Merdeka Berlari becomes a complete series of positive and impactful activities. Participants will receive a special medal themed around independence as an award, adding to the festivity and pride in the celebration of Indonesia's independence.

"While running, participants can enjoy the spots available at GWK, there are many interesting spots at GWK that can be enjoyed by fun run participants and enjoy the party at the peak of the event in the evening," said Stefanus Yonathan Astayasa, the Operational Director of GWK Cultural Park.

There will also be a CLOTHING EXHIBITION BY JAKLCOTH as a driver of the local fashion industry, which has been at the forefront for 15 years, giving birth to hundreds of major local brands. This Fashion Clothing is fully supported by SMESCO and KEMENKOP UMKM.

2. Marching Band Competition to Fireworks Festival

Still in the spirit of independence, MerdekaFest presents a marching band competition participated by schools to communities, a variety of culinary delights from the archipelago, and a fireworks festival.

"The hope is that many people come to GWK to enjoy this people's party concept with many music and running events, both for the people of Bali, Indonesia, and foreigners, enjoying the fact that Independence Day is celebrated festively,” concluded Stefanus Yonathan Astayasa.
