Create a New Album Yourself, Kotak: Thank You Bang Pay, We Have Graduated

Kapanlagi.com - The music group Kotak has just released their latest single titled HOAX. This single is the first step for Kotak before releasing their album titled Identitas in September 2020.

Under the Warner Music Indonesia label, this Identitas album was actually prepared before their vocalist, Tantri, took maternity leave. However, due to the pandemic, the Identitas album will be released in September, coinciding with Kotak's 16th anniversary.

"Originally, we had prepared the album before Tantri took leave and thankfully it was completed after this pandemic. The plan has changed, so it will be released in September and each month we will release several singles to bridge to the album," said Cella in a virtual press conference via the Zoom application, on Friday (26/6/2020).

1. Portraying Each Identity

This album portrays the individual identities of each Kotak member. "Because this is really the true identity of Kotak, the concept of Kotak, Kotak songs, everything is the creative process of Kotak that shows this Kotak identity and why there are three fingerprints on the album, yes, that's our identity," said Chua.

What's different from previous Kotak albums is that this Identity album was truly done by ourselves. Without involving other musicians. In previous albums, Kotak usually involved musician Pay BIP as the music producer.

2. Done by Ourselves

"We produced this album ourselves, from the music, cover, music video, all of us in Chua collaborated. Usually, we collaborate with Pay and Dewiq," said Tantri.

"Now we want to express our gratitude for the lessons we have learned. It's like we have graduated together with Bang Pay, we produced this ourselves, this is the result of our hard work for a long time," Tantri concluded.
