Fariz RM Reports Syahravi Regarding Alleged Copyright Violation of the Song 'Di Antara Kata'

"Today, I and Bang Fariz along with the lawyer team, want to coordinate with the investigators at Ditreskrimsus of the Metro Jaya Police regarding Bang Fariz RM's report that has been pending for almost a year. This concerns copyright," said Deolipa Yumara when met at the Metro Jaya Police on Tuesday (23/6/2026).

According to Deolipa, the report was actually registered since July 7, 2023. However, the existence of the report was only recently communicated to the public after an invitation from investigators to discuss the continuation of the legal process.

"The songs of Bang Fariz were sung without permission by someone, namely Syahravi. A police report has been filed and is currently in process. We came to coordinate regarding the continuation of this matter," he said.

Fariz RM explained that the main issue in the case relates to the use of the song titled 'Di Antara Kata' without proper authorization. He believes that the work has been produced and distributed without obtaining mechanical rights as stipulated in copyright provisions.

"The case is a violation of copyright regarding a song titled 'Di Antara Kata', which was produced without legal permission related to the use of mechanical rights. There are no mechanical rights involved," said Fariz RM.

According to the singer of 'Sakura', the alleged violation did not only occur during the song production process, but also includes the publication of the work as a single on various digital platforms and its use in performances.

"It was also performed without legal permission. The basis is that there are no mechanical rights. So it was produced, published as a single on digital platforms and various other forms, then distributed without permission," he emphasized.
