From Kunto Aji to Iga Massardi, Seven Top Musicians in the Country Become Short Film Directors

Kapanlagi.com - Seven renowned musicians in the country recently collaborated to create three songs during their time at Collabonation CAMP. They are Iga Massardi, Kunto Aji, Hindia, Petra Sihombing, Asteriska, Rendy Pandugo, and Sal Priadi. Now they are back in Collabonation Series 3.0.

Unlike before, this time they collaborated to reinterpret the main message of the three songs into short films together with three young directors Naya Anindita, Gianni Fajri, and Surya Penny as co-directors.

"This time we were challenged to try something new, to become directors. At first, I couldn't imagine how we could convey the message of the three songs into a short film," said Iga Massardi to reporters on Friday (16/7/2021).

1. Create Three Songs

The three songs created at Collabonation CAMP are Irama, Angin di Lautan, and Putaran, and they have received a very positive response. Besides their relevance to the current pandemic situation, the positive energy from these three songs is also felt by the community.

"But it turns out the process is really exciting. We hope that this work can be accepted and its message can inspire and encourage us all to continue creating through collaboration," said Iga Massardi.

2. Film Synopsis

The first short film produced is titled "Tim Pegulat". This film is directed by Sal Priadi and Kunto Aji, along with Surya Penny as co-director. The film tells the story of a man named Tim, who experiences a number of strange experiences that unknowingly lead him to various struggles.

Both films are titled "Angin di Lautan", directed by Baskara, Iga Massardi, and Asteriska, along with Naya Anindita. It tells the story of a teenager named Guntur who must fulfill his responsibility to follow the tradition as a Pria Bajo, to sail and become the backbone of his family.

"From his first journey, it eventually reminds him of his role in the family, which ultimately motivates him to bravely explore and sail the ocean to conquer his fears, for the sake of his mother and younger sibling," he said.

3. Third Film

Lastly, a film titled "Putaran" directed by Rendy Pandugo, Petra Sihombing, and Gianni Fajri. For those of you who are wondering, this film tells the story of two people who are at the intersection of past and future time.

"Through Collabonation Series 3.0, we hope to not only bring positive and entertaining content, but also inspire the younger generation to remain optimistic, move forward, and create while staying connected and utilizing technology even in challenging times like now," said Fahroni Arifin, SVP - Head of Brand Management & Strategy Indosat Ooredoo.
