Talking about Toxic Relationship, Malang-based Soloist Fahem Releases Second Single 'Another Pills'
Fahem releases his second single, Another Pills.
Kapanlagi.com - Mocca releases a new single titled There's A Light At The End Of The Tunnel which is the fourth single of the year 2020. It's even more special because this time Mocca collaborates with Rekti Yoewono, the vocalist and guitarist of The S.I.G.I.T.
“In the song There's A Light At The End Of The Tunnel, we collaborated with Rekti. Actually, whenever Mocca creates something or releases an album, we always involve people from our closest circle. With Rekti, we have known each other since a long time ago. And then, there's this song. It seems to fit well with Rekti,” said guitarist Riko Prayitno about the background of Rekti's presence in Mocca's latest single.
During the process of creating this single, even though the four members of Mocca and Rekti live in different places, it didn't become an obstacle. Riko Prayitno (guitarist), Toma Pratama (bassist), and Arina Ephipania (vocalist) started the production process from their respective homes, only Indra Massad (drummer) recorded the drum part of this song in the studio to achieve satisfying results.
Initially, Rekti was only asked to fill in the guitar and vocal parts, instead of learning the whole song. All the recorded session results were sent to him. It turns out that all of those sessions were tweaked by Rekti, accompanied by the message "I'm learning mixing".
"The first time I heard the song, I immediately felt optimistic. The vocals as the main element of the story carrier are strong, the addition of male voices that appear in the second part of the song seems to enrich the atmosphere of togetherness. The drum beat also feels like it can carry and clarify the emotions in each section of the song, the bass pattern is synchronized following the kick and snare drum. Then I thought about emphasizing the melody of the guitar even more, until finally I got the idea to separate the guitar melody from the guitar chords. Tambourine is also important to clarify the transition of song sections," Rekti tells the story of the song mixing process There's A Light at the End of the Tunnel.
The result turned out to be funny as well, even Arina Ephipania was challenged to play the guitar, many processes came out of Mocca's usual habits when making this. Everything became something fresh for Mocca's work. It was agreed that Rekti would also become the co-producer of the single There's A Light at the End of the Tunnel, and this song is his first time as a producer for Mocca.
There is always hope is the message that Mocca and Rekti want to convey through this song. As we are currently experiencing, throughout the year 2020 we have all been in a situation of limitations, but there is always hope that everything will improve, even better for all of us.
There's A Light at the End of the Tunnel can now be listened to on all digital music platforms starting from October 9, 2020. Enjoy listening to Mocca and Rekti!
