Genre Ska, SkaScoot Finally Releases Album on a Beautiful Date

Kapanlagi.com - SkaScoot finally releases their debut album titled 20022020 ASYIKIN AJA. As promised, this ska genre band releases their album on a beautiful date, which is February 20, 2020, which is also the ending in the name of their album.

Of course, they have their own reasons why they chose that beautiful date for their album. Besides being beautiful, they also believe that the date makes their album name easier to remember.

"We deliberately chose the moment 200220 because it looks beautiful and easy to remember. Because on that day, date, and year, we opened a new history by releasing our debut album," explained Wah at Joglo Beer, Kemang, South Jakarta, Thursday night (20/02).

Wah (vocals), Danya (guitar), Gober (bass), and Wadi (drums) present 7 songs in their new album. Each song has a story about life. Like Asyikin Aja which was touted as an anthem for life encouragement.

"The message we want to convey is that even though we are different, we can have the same goal. There's rap, punk, reggae. The point is, why should we separate the differences? Well, let's connect everything. There are indeed many musical elements that we try to collaborate here. And in each song, they are different. But the common thread is still Ska. As for the lyrics, we vary, but all the themes are universal," Wah continued.

Interestingly, SkaScoot also released their album in CD format. "Even though the industry is currently sluggish, we still want to have physical memories someday, and luckily our friends support us. We sell them, and luckily they are available at my distro." We don't have any specific targets, if it sells well, great, if not, the important thing is to have memories," he concluded.
