SkaScoot Ready to Release Album on Beautiful Date

Kapanlagi.com - Newcomer band, SkaScoot is ready to expand its wings in the Indonesian music industry. After previously releasing their latest song titled Asyikin Aja which is an anthem for motivation and cultivating positive thinking, SkaScoot is preparing to release their debut album.

The band from Jakarta, consisting of Wah (vocals), Danya (guitar), Gober (bass), and Wadi (drums), will release the songs on a beautiful date. As the title suggests, ASYIKIN AJA 200220, the album is ready to be marketed on February 20th.

"We intentionally included the numbers 200220 in the title of our album, because it happens to coincide with the date 20th of the 2nd month and the year 2020. In our opinion, these numbers are beautiful and easy to remember, which can be a historic moment for us, the release of our debut album," explained Wah when met in Pejaten, South Jakarta, last Friday (31/1).

Their debut album will consist of 7 songs, including Asyikin Aja. However, they have not revealed the titles of the songs that will be released. So, what made them choose the Ska genre?

"We chose the Ska genre because besides the four of us genuinely liking the music, we also wanted to bring about a new regeneration in this Ska genre. It seems like it has been interrupted for a while, the gap is quite long. If you ask about our favorite band, we all idolize The Interrupters," added Wah.

Just for information, their meeting was quite unique because there was no intention to form a band. "Initially, I met Wah to work on a YouTube project about Vespa, namely Cespa Channel." Coincidentally, we both share a hobby of riding Vespa. We had the opportunity to become media partners for a big Vespa event titled Scooter Enjoy Jakarta," added Wadi.
