Together with Jakvegas, Gugun GBS Sings Indonesian Songs

That's why the formation of Gugun (vocals/guitar), Dika (bass), and Bimo (drums) proclaim themselves through refreshing musical explorations in the Indonesian music scene. It is a pleasure that is not just for show. JAKVEGAS can be said to be a creativity that grows through exploration in the same vision to provide harmonious choices for their respective listeners.

Formed through experimental jamming in a studio in South Jakarta recently, these three musicians, who are idols of music enthusiasts, agreed to create a side project with a dominant rock music nuance.

"When we were jamming together, we accidentally played the same music, where rock n roll music inspired by Jimi Hendrix and Lenny Kravitz infiltrated into our bodies. We had fun playing, and finally agreed to create JAKVEGAS," said Bimo, a top drummer in Indonesia.

1. Gugun Singing Indonesian Language Song

As evidence of their seriousness in promoting JAKVEGAS music, Biar Mampus Aja was chosen as their debut single. This song, created by Dika who is known as the guitarist of ADA Band, has a strong rock music vibe.

"The song Biar Mampus Saja is more about our expression of seeing a girl who is deeply in love but is being taken for granted by her boyfriend. If it were us, we would definitely be more appreciated," explained Dika.

"This is interesting! Because I am performing a song in Indonesian language together with JAKVEGAS. And it seems that this formula will only be present in JAKVEGAS," emphasized Gugun.

By aiming for a debut album, JAKVEGAS hopes that their musical project is not just a small part of the music industry in the country. Instead, they aspire to stand strong as an influential rock band in Indonesia.
