Hello, Introducing Kanda Brothers' First Weapon, Element of Life Album

Kapanlagi.com - Band Kanda Brothers enliven the Indonesian music industry by releasing an album titled Elements of Life. Interestingly, out of the five songs in it, Kanda Brothers divided them into five themes according to the elements of human life (Elements of Life) such as water, fire, air, earth, and metal.

Kanda Brothers has actually been coloring the Indonesian music industry since 1999. Led by four siblings, Ricky Yurama (Bass/Vocal), Gerry Febrianda (Guitar/Keyboard/Vocal), Aldy Agustriansyah (Lead Vocal/Guitar), and Danna Prawira Saputra (Drums/Percussion/Vocal), Kanda Brothers are ready to make an impact with this album.

"We talked about making an album that no longer tells about something fictional, but what we feel," said Aldy in a virtual press conference held on Thursday (21/10).

Preparing the material since early 2021, Kanda Brothers summarized the feelings and emotions they experienced during the Covid-19 pandemic in this album. As musicians, the Covid-19 pandemic clearly limited their mobility, especially since Kanda Brothers were still actively performing from one café to another.

"As soon as the pandemic hit, everything shut down and there were many changes that we didn't want, but we had to go through and adapt. What we have experienced over the past two years is summarized in this album," explained Aldy.

1. Introduce Hello

As the opening of the Elements of Life album, Kanda Brothers introduce a song titled Hello. Hello represents the air element of the five elements of human life that they bring in this album. Hello becomes a song that portrays the fragility and emotions of the members who are always faced with difficulties, especially in times like this. However, behind all that, they finally find the answer to counter that fragility into a spirit to live.

"As we wrote in the lyrics, guide me through the rain so that I can say hello, implies that usually ease will be born behind difficulties. I believe that fundamentally we are all fragile creatures and cannot be separated from the help of the universe to get out of various problems. There will definitely come a time for us to smile again and have the opportunity to start over better," said Aldy.

"If until now we have complained and blamed others more, it turns out that the problem is within ourselves. It's just us who are still unaware," added Gerry.

2. Prepare New Song

Not stopping at the song Hello, Kanda Brothers have prepared a new song in December. The song titled Go, which represents the element of earth, will be the next weapon of Kanda Brothers to fight in the Indonesian music industry.

"The song will be more specific. It's about us losing someone close and dear to us," said Aldy.

Music spirit and the ups and downs of Kanda Brothers' story finally caught the attention of Rheza Pahlawan (R57), the executive producer, who is also one of the famous e-liquid brewers in Indonesia, to make Kanda Brothers as his exclusive artist under the auspices of R57 Records. Rheza sees the great potential and solidity that Kanda Brothers have as musicians.

Now, Kanda Brothers' latest work titled Hello can be enjoyed through all radio, TV, and digital music platforms starting from October 2021. As the title suggests, hopefully, this song can be a warm greeting and introduction for the listeners, while also providing optimism to overcome the existing problems, especially in difficult times like now.
