This 42-year-old man stated that the reason he re-released Gak Romantis with the 'Indra Sinaga' version is that the song went viral as a sound in several content created by young people today.
"In the last few years, it turns out that several songs from the album Gak Romantis have become quite a hype. They are often used as content, you know, nowadays everything is content," said Indra Sinaga.
"And it turns out that several of those songs are often used. So I want to create several songs that have existed with the project together with Lyla, I will make them again with Indra Sinaga's version," he continued.
This father of one explained that the majority of the songs by Lyla that he wrote himself made it a bit easier for him in obtaining permission to do a remake.
"Some songs that have been with Lyla that I want to remake will become Indra Sinaga's version with music worked on by the current team. Plus, there will also be some new songs. To be honest, I didn't talk to my friends in Lyla about wanting to remake this. But maybe because procedurally, coincidentally, some of the songs that need to be remade were written by me. So I didn't talk to them, it wasn't meant to be anything unusual," he said.
Indirectly, through his statement, Indra also leaked several songs that will be remade with a new version. Another unique fact, Gak Romantis is a personal song for him and his wife.
"When I was making Gak Romantis, the story was that I was enjoying going to the studio. At that time, we didn't have kids yet. So I could go home at dawn from the studio. My wife was still working at the bank then. I came home, and not long after, she had already left for the office. It turned out that day was her birthday. I forgot it was her birthday. Finally, I was inspired from that to make the song. I'm not romantic," he said
