Involve Stand Here Alone Vocalist, Guntur Wibowo Releases EP 'Birahi'

Kapanlagi.com - Guntur Wibowo is the vocalist of the band Close To Breathe who has collaborated with Sansan 'Pee Wee Gaskins' in the song 'Terjebak'. Now, Guntur releases an EP titled Birahi. This album contains a total of five songs, namely 'Bukan Lagu Ghosting', 'Birahi', 'LDR', 'Pura Pura Gak Tau', and 'Lagu Tiktok'.

Guntur also explains the reason for releasing the EP as a soloist, without Close To Breathe. According to him, this is a way to express different musical colors from Close To Breathe.

"The lyrics in this solo EP also sound very simple with everyday language of young people. The songs here are also synonymous with naughty lyrics and jabs for young men and women to convey moral messages," said Guntur.

1. Getting Support from Pop Punk Band Personnel

In working on this album, Guntur was assisted by one of the personnel from a famous Indonesian pop punk band, Stand Here Alone. Yes, he was assisted by Heymbenk, the vocalist of the band known for the song 'Hilang Harapan'.

"Heymbenk is someone who constantly supports me to continue making music. He is involved in all the songs on this EP," said Guntur.

So, what about Close To Breathe? Did the band eventually disband because Guntur pursued a solo career?

"Actually, I didn't leave CTB, I'm still active with CTB. Last month, we also released a new single titled 'Kita Bisa'," said Guntur.

"I made this solo song just to express a different musical style," he added.

3. Want to be a Soloist?

According to Guntur, he doesn't know whether he wants to continue making music with a band or become a soloist in the future. He only hopes that this EP 'Birahi' can be accepted by the Indonesian society.

"Hopefully the songs in this EP can be accepted by young listeners and can deliver a message to all listeners," said Guntur.
