Jessica Januar Releases Single 'Stay Here' on Valentine's Day

Kapanlagi.com - As Valentine's Day approaches on February 14, 2022, Jessica Januar releases a new song titled "Tetap Di Sini". This song tells the story of loyalty despite not knowing if the feelings will be reciprocated.

In the process of making this song, Jessica collaborated with Ifa Fachir, a producer of famous songs such as "Jatuh Hati" (Raisa), "12 Tahun Terindah" (BCL), and also a composer of soundtrack songs for films like KELUARGA CEMARA and IMPERFECT.

"Often, when I collaborate with someone, I want there to be collaboration. Therefore, I challenged Jessica to write the lyrics for "Tetap di Sini"," said Ifa.

In addition to Ifa, Jessica also collaborated with a talented young musician, Wilbert Deil, as the producer and arranger. Not wanting to leave her identity as a soprano or musical theater actress, Jessica, along with Ifa and Wilbert, incorporated touches of string instruments, woodwind, piano, and guitar in the arrangement of this song to maintain its classical touch.

After listening to the final music, Jessica also felt that this song reminded her of the musical style of '90s Divas, such as Ruth Sahanaya, KD, and Titi DJ.

1. Third Single

Stay Here is Jessica's third single after previously having the opportunity to sing OST. Riki Rhino by Elwin Hendrijanto and Pengabdi Harkat by Wilbert Deil. Jessica also played ‘Alimah’ in the Musical Nurbaya series by Indonesia Kaya where she sang one of the arias titled Belum Berakhir. Previously, Jessica performed in musical theater, some of them being Gita Cinta The musical re-run and Opera Ainun.

In classical concert stages, Jessica is quite active in performing with renowned Indonesian orchestras, one of them being with Conductor Avip Priatna and Jakarta Concert Orchestra performing Mozart Concert Aria Vorrei Spiegarvi O, Dio.

2. Why Ifa Fachir?

"It has been a long-standing desire to collaborate with Ifa. I personally admire Ifa's works, one of them being Jatuh Hati performed by Raisa. We both also have the same interest in musical theater, which ultimately made us feel compatible to make music together," said Jessica on one occasion.

"Although the basic song is still pop, but the fact that Jessica is a classical singer, I can push her over the edge with wider notations and deeper understanding of the song. With Jessica's collaboration, I can return to my musical theater roots and be more idealistic," said Ifa.

Jessica hopes that this song can be accepted by the public and represent the feelings of its listeners.
