Leaving Jikustik, Brian Prasetyoadi Releases Solo Single with a Heartbreak Theme

Kapanlagi.com - After deciding to resign from Jikustik in January 2023, Brian Prasetyoadi has finally solidified his steps as a solo singer.

Starting from February 2023, Brian, who had been a vocalist for Jikustik for 14 years, chose to pursue a career as a soloist.

Under the banner of MK Records, Brian is now trying to introduce his latest single titled 'False Hope'.

"This song tells the story of someone who is disappointed because the person they love has deceived them. Essentially, it is a heartfelt expression of pain, where initially it was about love, but in reality, they end up being with someone else and even getting married," said Brian.

1. Suitable to Listen to When Feeling Heartbroken

According to Brian, this melancholic song is very suitable to be listened to by people who are heartbroken. Especially for those who have experienced disappointment due to infidelity.

"The special thing about this song is the relation between the lyrics, melody, and arrangement that is very relatable to the real-life conditions of the listeners. Where currently there are many rumors of infidelity, broken relationships because of others, they say it's love but it's just empty words, and similar situations. The song 'False Hope' represents the hurt party in these conditions," said Brian.

In this song, Brian is assisted by Riza Yudhistira as the music arranger and several other musicians such as Adhitya Luthfi on drums, Ceria Hadini on electric guitar, Thomas Enggal on bass.

2. Hoping to Represent the Feelings

In the music video, Brian acts to the fullest to represent someone who is desperate and hopeless because they were left to get married by someone they loved.

"My hope is that this song can represent the feelings of listeners who are experiencing the same thing as the song. After all, this is the era of social media. So anyone can share anything related to their emotional state, experiences they've been through, or heartbreak they've experienced," said Brian.
