LPS Music Seeks New Talent, Candra Darusman - Yovie Widianto Will Be the Mentors

Kapanlagi.com - The Deposit Insurance Corporation (LPS) is taking steps to support Indonesia's creative industry by holding a music competition event titled LPS Music. The competition involves collaboration with several top musicians in the country such as Candra Darusman, Yovie Widianto, Cantika Abigail, and many more.

The Chairman of LPS Commissioner Board, Purbaya Yudhi Sadewa, emphasized that promoting Indonesia's music sector is an integral part of creating a stable economy.

"I believe that if LPS can promote Indonesia's music sector, where the industry and musicians thrive, especially if we can become a king in our own country and even overseas, it will be very beneficial, and ultimately the economy will also thrive," he said at the Kick Off and Press Conference of LPS Music, at Warung Jati Barat, South Jakarta, Thursday (2/5/2024).

In the event, Candra Darusman, the main mentor of LPS Music, revealed that this event is not only about music but also about creating new stars in the Indonesian music industry.

"LPS music is a human resource development in the field of music, so that they become shining and attractive diamonds for Indonesian music. Our appreciation to LPS," he said.

Yovie Widianto, Chairman of the Indonesian Musicians Federation (FESMI), highlighted the importance of government support in the development of the creative industry, especially music, which has high viral potential. He welcomed LPS's step as an effort to enlarge the Indonesian creative industry.

"Let's enhance the Indonesian creative industry, and LPS's step is a necessary step that we should support and appreciate. Of course, FESMI strongly supports more musicians advancing, becoming more prosperous, and making us better," said Yovie.

LPS Music is not just a music competition, but also offers workshops, guidance, and awards to new and independent musicians with high originality in their work. With the support of main mentor Candra Darusman and other famous musicians, this program is expected to provide a positive platform for the young generation of Indonesia.

LPS Music will search for 30 music groups in the Jabotabek, Banten, and West Java regions, with open registration for the public starting from May 2 to May 27, 2024. In addition to the competition, there will be workshops attended by the selected 30 groups, led by mentors from prominent musicians.
